Damaride Marangelli

Damaride Marangelli a creative artist

I have much pleasure to introduce to you another fellow blogger friend, artist Damaride Marangelli, from Como, Italy.
Her work involves painting with oil and other staff.
Her art work is exceptionally beautiful and I find the use of colour particularly delightful.
Damaride Marangelli, is an imaginative, diversified and creative young artist with a lot of potential.
She paints contemporary, realism and other sort showing a keen interest on photography and special commitment in illustration.
She was born in Conversano 1984. After high school she continued her studies in the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari, during which she discovered the beauty of photography.

With this new passion in 2005 she won first prize in a photography contest.
After graduation she decided to move to Milan to deepen her interest in illustration enrolling in a master degree for illustration at the School of Comics.
But not yet satisfied and to keep pace with the times she went to Rome to enhance her knowledge in digital, attending a course of advertising graphics.

Oil on canvas
Her subject matter is principally drawn from everyday life.
In 2008 she went for the first time at the fair book of Bologna, where she had the good fortune to meet one of the greatest Italian illustrators and 2008 Andersen Award Winner: Roberto Innocenti.
And then she decided to attend a postgraduate course taken by him at the cultural association La Fabbrica of Fables, which deals with publishing for children in Macerata.

Currently, she is devotee to painting and photography but her main professional commitment is the illustration.
"Pigmaglione e Galatea"

Won first prize at "BluOrg Under 30" and distinguished work in the competition "The Slope"Α' Βραβείο σε διαγωνισμό Ζωγραφικής για καλλιτέχνες κάτω των 30 ετών.
